Our Story

Poppy Street is a mother–daughter business founded in 2020 by Nicole Wilson in Corona del Mar, California. What began next door to Five Crowns Restaurant has grown into a collection of community-based educational programs and culinary experiences, all rooted in our signature approach: unexpectedly delicious, thoughtfully crafted, and Avant-Gard(en).
Nicole is a UC Berkeley graduate, a Michelin three-star–trained pastry chef, and a WSET Level 3 Sommelier candidate. She is also the Founder and CEO of Poppy Street Ventures, LLC, where she brings over 20 years of experience as a former investment banker, investor and advisor to family offices—helping build and scale private equity–backed real estate, hospitality, and restaurant ventures.
